[간단영어정보] 대학교 4년간 학년별 영어 표현 및 gap year.

오늘 배운 것은 대학교 4년간 다닐 때

 

1학년 - Freshman

 

2학년 - Sophomore

 

3학년 - Junior

 

4학년 - Senior.

 

1학년부터  4학년까지 어떻게 표현하는지 대해 알게 되었네요

 

특히 2학년을 의미하는 sophomore 단어가 생소하고

 

Junior 왠지 1학년 같은 느낌인데 3학년이라는 것도 뜻밖이네요.

 

2학년(sophomore) 마치고 일 년 정도 휴학하며 워킹 홀리데이를 하면서

 

Gap year를 가지는 경우가 있는데 

 

오늘 이렇게 새로 알게 되어서

Gap Year

A gap year, also known as a sabbatical year, is typically a year-long break before or after college/university during which students engage in various educational and developmental activities, such as travel or some type of regular work. Students who take gap years typically achieve growth in maturity and are better prepared to benefit from higher education or decide the form of education they wish to pursue.
